Typical average food. Priced on higher side.

The T Box Burger is The best!! We had Billie for our server. She was amazing. I recommend Tuesday close to close. The Box Burger was delicious. I can't say I loved the Jerk chicken burger because it had less than a kick of jerk sauce. The jicama slaw was a little better than meh. Bottom line: Box Burger & Billie for your server.

This small elegant yet comfortable is the best local hangout on the northern burbs. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. The Bison is a never miss and difficult not to order every time we dine there.

Happened to be in Ham Lake one mid-afternoon, and we decided to do a late lunch at T-Box. No one about but the bar lady, but she was efficient and very helpful to first timers. My wife ordered the soup. It was a scallop chowder and she said it was fantastic. I had a taste and agreed. Her entree was the cobb salad which she thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered the steak burger, and it was a gourmet delight: half-pund of ground ribeye, havarti cheese, wild mushrooms, caramelized onions, arugula and cranberry sauce. One of the better burgers I've had. The place is very comfortable, and seemed a cut above the average 'burb bar and grill. We're not in Ham Lake very often, but next time we are, we'll know where to eat!

Best Jucy Lucy north of 694 (find me another). Comfy, cozy, and cute little place wrapped in a strip mall package. Good burger. Fries were so-so. If I took a date to Ham Lake (not likely), this place would be tops on the list. Worth a stop if ur hungry and on Hwy 65.

Stopped here while we were picking up dog food up in Ham Lake. We weren't totally sure what to expect, and we were pleasantly surprised when we entered. It's got kind of an upscale tavern feel. Very warm and comfortable. Our waitress was very friendly in a small-town kind of way. I had the fish and chips. The fries were outstanding, and the fish was pretty decent. Nothing special, but not bad by any means. My husband had the Box Burger... a juicy lucy with fried egg. It looked delicious and he said it was great. He only ate half, which is definitely not the norm. Definitely a great deal for the price. The biggest surprise, though, was the kid's meal we ordered our toddler. Big chicken fingers, a pickle and a big bowl of fruit for $5. The fruit was so good my husband and I stole most it from our daughter. Fresh-cut strawberries, pineapple and melon; not the usual kid's fruit cup. Anyway. I'd definitely recommend this place! If we lived closed, we'd be returning often. Our bill was $35, which included two pops. Not bad at all.

Came here after playing some disc golf at Blue Ribbon Pines in East Bethel. It was my fella's birthday and we found out that the place I was going to take him to burned down in the storms the night before so we asked Ray where to go that had good beer and a burger and he sent us to T-Box. The place was pretty empty so we sat at the bar. The bartender was great and was happy to turn on the hockey game for us. Good beer selection for the suburbs, really dug the micro-brews. We ordered the shrimp/bacon deviled eggs, they were AWESOME! I ordered a BLAT and my fella the Jucy Lucy. I'd say we were both quite pleased. Pros: Great food, quiet, good beers, good service. Cons: Slow food preparation for so many empty tables.

This place was a VERY nice surprise for the outta the way location. It has a very upscale tavern like feel, similar to Champp's but far more intimate. Dim lighting, brick interior, 4-sided fireplace, etc... I reluctantly ordered the Lobster Mac-N-Cheese for $22. The portion was small, very "lunch sized" but the dish was outstanding! Nothing like you would expect from a "bar & grill" in Ham Lake! We look forward to returning ASAP!

Food was great, ambience great- server Awesome! Dee Dee was knowledgeable in the wine department and offered great pairing with our food. Not only was she very attentive, she was fun and made us feel very welcome. You can definitely tell the differance between someone just doing "the job" and someone who truly goes above and beyond... Kudos to you DeLaun- Mary and Romelle give you *****

The Box Burger is my favorite!!! The Pork Belly Tacos are also good here. The inside of this place looks like it should be in downtown Minneapolis not Ham Lake.

Stopped with the parents for lunch a couple weeks ago. Shrimp tacos mom had were tiny and good. Philly style pork looked good. The cheese steak had small and somewhat tough pieces of meat, yummy mushrooms and onion not many peppers or much cheese sauce, there needed to be more of everything on it to justify the city price in Ham Lake. The fries were the best hand cut I've had that were not gross but crispy (twice fried?). Jicama slaw was nice. I'd go again and try more of the menu. Oh, the parents both had dessert and the creme brulee is very good-didn't taste the stout cake. Neither the chairs nor booths are padded, just hard and wooden. I started at a 3 star, this is a soft 4, not sure if "Yay! I'm a fan" is accurate after one visit.

Amazing food , atmosphere, and drink selection. The service was just average but the great food made up for it. The beer cheese soup was great.

Awesome wine selection... Sunday to Wednesday half off bottles. The food was the best of Blaine! Started with the cheese plate - very good! Also had the beer cheese soup yum! We had the fish special -barramundi and salmon and the ribeye. Everything comes with a salad. Excellent food and I would highly recommend! Our total was around $130 - not bad for better food than downtown!

I have been to T-Box now several times and have never been disappointed. Last night, my husband and I went for dinner because I saw their special on Facebook and was intrigued. Seared Alaskan Cod with Gigante Bean Cassoulet - it was fantastic! My husband had the Chicken Piccata and loved it - they make the best risotto either of us have had. Small plates are enough for a light dinner or to share with friends - the fire baked cheese is a favorite as is the bruschetta. Some reviews have complained about it being loud, but you can sit on the non-bar side of the restaurant if you want a quieter dinner although I really don't think the bar side is loud at all. The prices are not cheap because these are QUALITY ingredients and preparation, something we are severely lacking in the northern suburbs. Also, I have never left hungry or even had room for desert. Great wine choices as well.

Suprised more people were not in this place for lunch. I've only been once but I ordered the Turkey Bacon Fig for lunch with the side of fruit and it was excellent as was the presentation. Service was great also. I will be back, great job!

I know, I know...5 stars from a snobby Minneapolitan for a Ham Lake restaurant called the T-Box? Yep. Found via other Yelpers while we were at our son's soccer tournament in Blaine. Looks like a newer bar and grill from the outside. Inside I found beef brisket nachos that were sublime, a turkey, fig and blue cheese sandwich that was perfectly done, averagish pizza, unique beers on tap. Five stars reflects vs. expectations. Reserve wine list included $180 bottles of Chateauneuf-de-pape (apparently sourced by the above average liquor store next door with same owner). We were pinching ourselves at the find.

This is a beautiful restaurant with a very friendly atmosphere. The waitress who served us joined right in with our sense of humor and made us feel welcome. The food was delicious and very well-prepared. My husband had the white fish special and I enjoyed the box burger. They were both prepared just right and were amazing. Creme Brûlée was delicious, as well.

I went here and had a beer. The have a long list of wine and a decent amount of choices of beer. The restaurant is very pretty and has an intimate feel. My only complaint would be that I was there are 10:15 on a Friday night and they were in the process of closing (putting chairs on the tables, etc.), and so I didn't stay long.

Excellent food. Server was great. Tomato Basil soup exceptional. I had the shrimp tacos, gourmet quality. Friend had Cobb salad. Said it was great, couldn't finish it all. Excellent chefs behind those kitchen doors. We will go back with an empty tummy and full wallet.

Great stop after cutting down our Christmas tree. Fancy enough food for these urbanites- everything house made. Would definitely go again.

A very pleasant surprise! We were in the area after visiting a pumpkin patch and we used Yelp to find a dinner spot. So happy we found this. Great space, warm and inviting. I asked for a veggie fort son to eat before dinner and they brought out delicious roasted asparagus. I ordered the shrimp appetizer and the green chili as my meal. Very tasty shrimp with spicy dipping sauce. And excellent chili. My son's mac n' cheese was decadent and wonderful!

Living in the chain restaurant wasteland that is Coon Rapids, it's wonderful to have a unique place in the area that serves good food and drink. We eat at either T-Box or Brick's (which is under the same ownership, south on 65 4 or 5 miles by the National Sports Center in Blaine) at least once or twice a week. T-Box's atmosphere is cozy without being cutesy or staid, the service is friendly, the food is not run of the mill, and they always have a nice craft beer selection. We often sit at the bar, and the other patrons there are always very friendly. I've never had a bad meal at T-Box. Our go-to item on the menu is the nachos. They put their own spin on nachos, and I'm a huge fan. They aren't doused in cheese, and are done in the brick oven, which leaves the chips wonderfully crispy, and they're served with a fabulous habenero aioli. Not everyone's idea of good nachos, but we love them. Their brick oven pizzas are all very good, as are the sandwiches, and the chef seems to be especially good at cooking fish. The desserts are okay. We used to love the bread pudding, but they've changed it up somehow, and it isn't as good as it used to be.

We found this place after disc golf in ham lake and it was superb! Tacos are to die for! The menu is so unique, and yet very affordable. So yummy and the staff was really friendly. Plus as a bonus if you go next door to the liquor store they give you a discount with your receipt from dinner! Will definitely go here again.

Cozy atmosphere & the food was great! It's so nice to have an option for dinner that isn't a chain. Prices are reasonable & the service was tentative & friendly.

Friendly service. A menu that goes beyond the usual but not too far! Very clean environment with lots of wood. Nachos were yummy, the home made chips a star. Beer flight, dinner and dessert all winners. Overall very hospitable with great food. Happy to come back!

Went there a few months ago for their Sunday specials and it was fantastic. Went there a few days ago and well not so much. The fish tacos were bland and the bruschetta was not as fresh as it could be. It was off color and pretty tasteless.

This will only be a place to eat lunch for me. Came in for dinner. The dinner menu is WAY over priced for the food you receive. The service was terrible! I'm a person that don't mind waiting, but his was insanely slow. When our meals finally arrived, only 3 of the 4 of us got them. One person had to wait so long, everyone else was finished eating. The dinner menu is not extensive. Only a few things to chose from and they were out of filet! Who runs out of steak? One more tip, this place is LOUD.

Extremely displeased. The atmosphere was loud and uptight. The salmon was fishy and overcooked and everything on my plate under seasoned .

Went here for a last minute date night. It was our first time, and we both left very impressed. The patio was gorgeous, but we opted for a seat inside instead. Wait staff was very friendly and prompt. Right off the beer selection tickled my fancy. Living in Anoka, I've grown used to paltry beer selections that often overlook the loveliness of a microbrew. I was glad to see a wide variety of beers, that I was told change out periodically. I opted for a simple reuben, but this sandwich was anything but simple. The flavor combinations were amazing, with a subtle undertone of cinnamon enhancing the thick cut corned beef. My date ordered the special, which happened to be red snapper that night. The fish was fresh, and tasty. We followed up with the creme brulee, which was HUGE. The brulee flavors rotate also. The food did take some time to get to us, but it was obvious that a lot of care went into each meal, especially the fish, so I don't see this as an issue. We will definitely be returning. I'd love to check out the wine bottle specials on Wednesday.

Was looking for a new place to meet friends on the north side of Minneapolis, and was very pleasantly surprised to stop at T Box bar and grill. What a pretty little place! Our waitress Shauna was very knowledgeable regarding the menu and very friendly. The chicken wild rice soup was awesome, not the regular thick and pasty soups from many places. The Salmon was excellent, the lobster Mac and cheese was out of this world. They also had a great selection of beers and wines, plus a full bar. Was looking forward to try the creme brûlée from one of the earlier posts, but they didn't make it anymore. All in all we will return, it was a great experience for all. Thank you Amy (manager/bartender) for making our night a memorable one.

My wife and I brought the kids in here for a dinner. I guess the atmosphere surprised the heck out of us. After driving by for a few months, I figured it was a small sports bar type place, but it's actually a little higher class/fancier than that. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was quiet and dark. It was not really a place I would take the kids to as we felt like we were making a huge scene in the small quaint dining area that is the T-Box. I don't think their menu is overpriced at all for the quality of food they presented. You're getting real food, not something from the freezer. Definitely worth a stop.

Spent $100 for two and came home hungry. No salad dressing choices- vinaigrette only. Salad was nice greens bur no croutons, no bread offered. The waitstaff was rude, slow, did not smile and and did not fifer dessert - even though I wanted some because we were still hungry. My husbands dinner came out 10 minutes before mine. Will not be back.

This was my 3rd time at T-Box. We had the tasting menu which included seared tuna, tempura sea bass and manhattan steak. The seared tune was nicely done, but mine arrived about 5 minutes before my husband's did. The sea bass was great, and we were too full by the time the steak was ready to eat much of it. The bite I had was very good, though. I'd be giving T-Box 5 stars if not for the service. There were about 10 people in the dining area, and our server was not attentive at all. She was pleasant, but given the delay in receiving food I would have expected not to have empty drinks.

I have been to T-Box over 10 times, and I have yet to have a bad meal. Is it 112 Eatery? No, but it is my local favorite, by far. The restaurant has the Anoka County market cornered for fresh and semi-upscale... but I have never felt that they abuse it. That's why I keep going back. * The jerk pizza... yum. I have had dreams about it. (All of the pizzas are truly delicious.) I recently had the tenderloin, and it was fantastic. The restaurant was full (and loud) when I placed my order, and the server brought me a medium-well steak. She was very apologetic and I quickly had one of the most delicious buttery steaks I've ever had. I'm surprised by the review of the Cuban - my companion ordered it recently and gave it five stars. * The wine selection is fantastic. Bottles offer a little higher value over the pours. (The wine machine is cool, but the glass pours are a little on the small size... or maybe the large glasses trick me. I'm happy either way.) * The restaurant offers an amazing beer selection as well. * Service is solid. I've had two mediocre experiences, and the other 80% have been great. I am very very pleased to have a non-sports bar, non-chain so nearby, and I have no reservations recommending T-Box. I also recommend checking out the market - their meats are great, there are some fun specialty pastas, and my favorite part is the pizza that I love so much (see above) is often found in the freezer! I try to shop as locally as possible, and I'm happy to have a specialty market in my sleepy little town.

Went here for dinner. Although the food was very good, the service was very very slow. Our table all wanted the "special", but after ordering, we were told they were out. This was very dissapointing as we were there at 7:00pm. Would rethink coming back
